What is free
Creating an account, building the whole video and watching it as often as you want costs nothing. You can change the photo, the background, the music and the text as many times as you like. The preview has the word PREVIEW across it, so it is clear it is not the final video. You can also send the family a review link so they can watch the preview before anything is paid.
What $199 includes
When the video is right, you pay once. That $199 is the total; no sales tax is added. You then download the video without the watermark in three formats: vertical for phones, square for social media and landscape for laptops and TVs. You also get the share page with the video, an add to calendar button and directions. Small fixes after you pay, such as a corrected time or a spelling mistake, are free.
What counts as a new video
A video is for one person. Changing the time, the place, the photo or the wording is a fix. Making a video for someone else is a new video and is paid separately. If the family wants a second, different video, for example an announcement first and an invitation later, each is its own video.
What you will not pay for
There is no monthly fee, no charge per view and no charge per recipient. You can send the video to ten people or a thousand at the same price.
What this product is not
The price is for a short invitation or announcement video. This site does not make long memorial slideshows, does not track RSVPs and does not run livestreams. If you need a longer tribute video, read slideshow vs invitation video to see what fits.
For funeral homes
Funeral homes can add their logo and invite colleagues to the same account. Each finished video is still $199. More in funeral invitation videos for funeral homes.
Paying
You pay online when you download the finished video. If you want to try first, start with how to make a funeral invitation video and look at the result before you decide.
Comparing the cost
It can help to compare the price with the work it replaces. Without a video, a family member often spends hours typing and resending messages, answering calls about the time, and correcting mistakes that spread as the text is forwarded. A finished video is one fixed price no matter how many people receive it. Printed cards are a different product with their own costs for design, printing and postage, and many families use both; see digital vs printed funeral invitations. Only you can decide what is worth it, which is why the full preview is free before you pay anything.
Questions families often ask
Can the family see it before paying? Yes, through the review link. Can we change the photo after paying? Yes, that counts as a small fix. Can the funeral home pay instead of the family? Yes, whoever builds the video pays when they download it. Is the $199 per person who receives it? No, it is per finished video, no matter how many people you send it to.
If you decide not to finish
If you build a preview and decide not to use it, you pay nothing. The preview stays in your account, and you can come back to it later or leave it. To see what you would be paying for, build the video first with how to make a funeral invitation video, watch the full preview, and decide only after the family has seen it.
Before you pay
- The family has seen the preview
- Names and dates are right
- Times and addresses are right
- You chose the music, or none
