What exactly is a funeral invitation video?

A short video of about half a minute. It shows the name and photo of the person who died, with the date, times and address of the visitation and the service, over a calm moving nature scene with soft music. The family shares it by text, email or Facebook instead of a typed message. Besides an invitation, you can also make a death announcement, a thank-you or an invitation to a memorial.

How is this different from a tribute video or a digital announcement card?

A tribute video is a long photo slideshow played during the service. A funeral invitation video is short, about half a minute, and is meant to announce a death or invite people. A digital card is usually a web page; this is a regular video that plays right away on a phone.

Can I just announce a death, without an invitation?

Yes. Choose the death announcement. It shows the name, photo and dates, without times or addresses.

Can I make a separate video just for the visitation?

Yes. For example when the service is private. Then only the visitation appears, not the service.

Does it need a photo?

No. A photo makes the video personal, but it's optional. An old photo or a crop from a group photo works too: you choose the part that shows.

How quickly can I have a video?

With the details at hand, in a few minutes. The video is made right in your browser, so you don't wait on anyone else.

When do I pay?

Only at the end. You see the whole video first. If something isn't right, you change it. You pay only when you're happy with it.

Isn't a video too modern for older relatives?

No. It's a regular video that plays right away on a phone, with no link or app. Anyone who prefers paper can scan the QR code on the printed card and see it on its own page, without an account.

What if the family wants something different?

Then you change it, as often as needed. You can also show the family a sample first with one link. You pay only when it's right.

What does the family see?

The family gets the final video from you, without the sample mark. Want them to review it first? You can also send a sample version with one link.

How does the video reach the family?

You can download the video as an MP4, including a small file that always fits in a message. You can also put it on a share page: one link or QR code, and everyone can watch without an app or account.

What music can I use?

Calm music from our own library, or a song you upload yourself. You can also make the video without music.

Can I still change it afterward?

Yes. A time that changes or a typo is free to fix, even after you pay. Only a video about a different person counts as a new video.

Does it work alongside my current software?

Yes. Funeral Invitations is separate from your case management system. You don't need anything else.

What happens to the photos and details?

We use them only to make the video and keep them as long as you leave them in your account. We don't sell anything or share anything for advertising. You can read exactly how this works in our privacy policy.

I already use Aimori. Do I need this?

No. The funeral video is already in your case file, under Virtual card, with the details already filled in.

Can I call?

Of course. Leave your number at the bottom of this page and we'll call you back on a business day.

What if a time or location changes after the video has gone out?

You change it for free and download the new video. A file that was already sent doesn't change by itself: send the new video again with a short note that the time or place changed. If you use the share page, you update it with one click. The link and QR code stay the same.

Can I stop and continue later?

Yes. Everything is saved in your account. You can pick up where you left off at another time or on another computer.

How does someone without a smartphone get the information?

Email the link to the share page, or put the QR code on the printed card. Anyone who can't watch a video simply gets the printed card with the same details.

Who can see the share page?

Anyone with the link or the QR code. The page isn't listed in search engines and you can turn it off at any time. So only include the link in messages to people it's meant for.

How long does the video stay available?

As long as you keep it in your account. You can always download the video to keep yourself, and delete everything whenever you like.
